For the runners, Grandma's Marathon is over and the physical recuperation after 26 miles of hard work begins. For the race volunteers, the work continues today. It's time to clean up the tents and the messes left behind in them. The weather, if not the work load, will cooperate.
Today should be a day of sunshine induced by a visit from a cell of high atmospheric pressure. Minnesota high temps should go from 70 by the lake to 76 well inland. Wisconsin numbers should run from 70 by the lake as well, but could go as warm as 80 by Minong and Hayward. The winds will be SW 5-10 mph.
Monday brings a change of weather plans. A new low will bring a 30 percent rain chance. The rain chance bumps to 50 percent for Tuesday and Wednesday and may include thunderstorms. We're back to showers by Thursday and sunshine returns on Friday.
