Given enough distance, the Coriolis effect takes low air pressure and wraps it into a circle called a cyclone. Not all lows get that mature, though. Saturday's rain maker was a small, disorganized patch of lower pressure a few thousand feet aloft and didn't bring that much rain.

The anticyclone, commonly called a high, will spin in to bring several days of sunshine. Today should be mostly sunny to partly cloudy.

Highs often begin as cold and dense air, but as they migrate, they pull warm, southern air into places they depart. This will happen Monday and Tuesday, and the brief visit of heat will provide some lift for the next low, so we may get another rain chance on Wednesday. After that, we will start to clear and descend to the mid-60s again.
