Most of us will start the day with mostly cloudy skies, especially to the west, where a few lingering flurries are possible. However, as a weak disturbance continues to pull away, partial clearing will occur in the afternoon. A light lake breeze will keep temperatures in the mid-30s to low 40s.
Another weak disturbance could provide scattered rain and snow showers tomorrow afternoon. But a much stronger storm system will probably affect the entire Upper Midwest by the middle of the week. Temperatures will be just above freezing, hinting at the likelihood of both rain and snow.
