The past week of sunny and warm weather has been pleasant, but now it's time to pay up. The dry spell is leading to drought conditions in the Arrowhead, and we need some rain to break that. Our first chance for rain in a week will come Monday.
Today will be one last shot, though, at more sun. The high-pressure cells of the past week will persist through most of today, and high temperatures again will reach the 80s. Clouds will increase tonight, however, and lead to a 50 percent chance for showers and thunderstorms on Monday. That rain chance will take until Tuesday morning to pass.
Along with Monday's chance for rain comes an end to the warm spell. Temperatures will be on a steady decline for the rest of the week. Autumn is approaching on schedule!
