Need to know the boundaries of your hunting land?

Earlier this year, the St. Louis County Land Explorer map was launched. The interactive map application allows users to view and search land records data by address, parcel identification number (PIN) and other methods.

Due to its popularity, this same tool is available as a free mobile app for anyone with an iOS (Apple), Android or Windows smartphone or tablet. The Mobile Land Explorer is available through the device's app store using the ArcGIS mapping application.

"The County Land Explorer has been extremely helpful to surveyors, engineers, appraisers, real estate agents, and a lot of other professionals, as well as the general public," said Darren Jablonsky, Deputy Director of Planning and Community Development. "Now with the mobile app, our land records are available in the field, which makes it useful to an even broader audience -- hunters are just one example."

The Land Explorer combines information from several county databases to provide the most up-to-date property details.

To download the app, people should go to the appropriate app store for their device and search for ArcGIS by Esri. Links to download the apps are also available on the "Maps" tab of the county's website: stlouiscountymn.gov.
