The St. Louis County Board this morning will honor 35-year employee Nancy Shusterich for her years of service in the county's Planning and Zoning Department.
Shusterich, who started with the county in 1977 and who will retire in September, is the latest of this year's Customer Service Recognition Award winners as the county looks to honor some of its 1,700 employees who go above the norm in customer service with the public.
"Nancy has a wealth of knowledge that comes from years of experience," said County Commissioner Keith Nelson in a statement. Shusterich takes "a personal interest in the people she serves. She's efficient and has a positive attitude, but it's the compassion that she has exhibited in assisting customers that really stands out in my mind."
The award will be presented at the board's regular meeting in Eveleth.
