The St. Louis County Auditor's license center normally at the Miller Hall Mall will remain at the Duluth Courthouse a few weeks longer than expected while its new home is constructed.
The license center was moved out of its old location at the mall to make way for the new Dick's Sporting Goods store and is moving to another location in the mall near J.C. Penney. The new space was supposed to be ready but has seen construction delays.
The new space is expected to be ready by the end of March.
In the meantime, all of the license center services, such as purchasing driver's licenses and passports, license-plate tabs and conducting numerous other transactions, are available at the second-floor county auditor's office in the downtown Duluth courthouse. Hours of operation at the courthouse are 8 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Monday through Friday.
Some state license services also are available at the driver's license exam station at 4602 Grand Ave., and many licenses and tabs are available online.
