The public is invited to a community assembly on Wednesday, March 1, 5:30-7:30 p.m. at the Old Central High School, Lake Avenue and Second St. Free dinner is provided and the first 50 people to arrive get $10 Super One gift cards.

The Speak Up Speak Out campaign is a health equity initiative that has worked to reach out to neighborhoods who are often left out when it comes to dedicating resources for making our city a better place to live. Over 600 people from historically marginalized communities have taken a survey stating how Duluth can be more fair regarding housing, economic opportunities, transportation and open spaces.

The event will be focused on hearing what the community said is important to them, hearing from a panel of community leaders that went into neighborhoods to ask how Duluth can be fair for everyone, learning what the City of Duluth’s plans are and discussing how we can ensure the City of Duluth is better for everyone.

The Speak Up Speak Out Campaign is an initiative of the Health in All Policies campaign made up of Cross Cultural Alliance of Duluth, NAACP, Zeitgeist Center for Arts & Community, CHUM, and Generations Health Care Initiatives. Health in All Policies works to impact decision makers in our community to advance health equity.

RSVP appreciated but not required. If you need childcare to attend or have dietary restrictions we ask you to please RSVP through the ticket page on the Facebook page.
