WHAT WE HAD: The Lumberjack, akin to a supreme. Large, $19.60
Southgate's slices had the best-tasting vegetables. The mushrooms walked a fine line between firm and tender, and the olives gave great flavor. The sausage was just OK. Toppings were plentiful and the sauce was well-rounded. The crust was crispy, but the bottom of the pie was doughy and needed a minute or two more in the oven. Southgate has one strange offering for the daring, involving a pizza with peanut butter and jalapenos.
