A snowmobiler was injured Saturday afternoon on the Laurentian Trail about four miles north of Virginia.
The St. Louis County Sheriff's office has not yet released the name of a person who was injured when their sled was struck from behind by another snowmobile at 3:22 p.m. The driver of the machine which was struck was transported by Eveleth Ambulance to the Virginia Regional Medical Center and then was airlifted to Essentia St. Mary's Hospital in Duluth.
An incident report says alcohol was not a factor in the accident.
