Torah Bright of Australia won the women's super pipe title Friday at the Winter X Games in Aspen, Colo.

Bright was first with 91.33 points followed by Kelly Clark of Mount Snow, Vt., and Hannah Teter of Belmont, Vt. Duluth native Molly Aguirre of Mammoth Lakes, Calif., qualified eighth Wednesday and only the top six advanced to the final.

In the men's super pipe qualifying Saturday night, former U.S. Olympian Mason Aguirre was listed among the entrants. The final wasn't complete when the News Tribune went to press.

Nikolai Anikin of Duluth won Saturday's Noquemanon Ski Marathon 51-kilometer freestyle title from Ishpeming to Marquette, Mich.

Anikin, 28, led a field of 308 in 2 hours, 24 minutes, 17.3 seconds, and Matt Weier, 28, of Mahtomedi, Minn., was second in 2:24:28.9. Paulette Niemi, 41, of Ironwood, Mich., was the first woman in 2:49:07.4.

In the 51K classical race, Michael Sinnott, 24, of Sun Valley, Idaho, was first in a field of 210 in 2:28:38.4 and Anders Osthus, 26, of Duluth was third in 2:30:29.8. Former U.S. Olympian Laura McCabe, 42, of Winthrop, Was., led the women in 3:00:40.8.
