A lake effect snow advisory remains in effect until 7 p.m. today for Bayfield, Ashland and Iron counties in Northwestern Wisconsin.

The National Weather Service reports that 2 to 5 inches of snow are possible along the Gogebic Range, with 1 to 3 inches for parts of the Bayfield Peninsula. Locations farther inland, and right along the shore of Lake Superior, likely will see little or no snow accumulation.

For Duluth, after some snow showers overnight the forecast calls for mostly cloudy skies today with a high of 38 degrees. Winds may gust to 30 mph. Expect partly cloudy skies tonight with a low in the lower 20s.

Sunny skies and temperatures in the 50s are forecast by Wednesday.
