Kim Smith of Duluth and Karl Becker of Dillon, Mont., were married Oct. 7 on the beach on Park Point in Duluth.
Her parents are the late Marie and Ron Smith. His parents are Sally and Keith Becker of Thermopolis, Wyo.
The bride chose Mary Miller as maid of honor and Sara Smith-Sharma as bridesmaid.
The groom chose Joe Brandon as best man and Kaia Poes as groomswoman.
The bride, a 1987 graduate of Lincoln High School in Esko, is pursuing a master's degree in environmental health and safety from the University of Minnesota Duluth.

The groom, a 1991 graduate of Hot Springs County High School in Thermopolis, graduated from the University of Montana-Western in Dillon in 2004 with a bachelor's degree in social science.
