Duluth Mayor Don Ness has hired SMDC Health Systems human resources director Kim Hall to work as the city's human resources manager.
"We are fortunate to find a person of Ms. Hall's talent and experience," Ness said in a news release.
At SMDC, Hall was responsible for the overall operation of HR services for 7,000 employees at 18 clinics and four hospitals. She also served as Manager of Human Resources at SMDC from April 2001 to August 2002 and as Director of Neuromuscular Services from April 1999 to April 2001.
Hall has a bachelor's degree from the University of Minnesota and a "mini"-master's degree in business administration from St. Thomas.
Hall will begin her job in the first week of September.
