Sliding Tuesday is tonight

Finland 100-Northland group invites the community to bring their sleds and celebrate Laskiaistiistai (Sliding Tuesday) starting 6 p.m. today, Tuesday, Feb. 28, at the Snowflake Nordic Ski Center, 4348 Rice Lake Rd. The event is free and open to the public. 
Finnish pea soup, pulla (cardamom bread) and coffee will be available for suggested donations.
The event is the first Finland 100 celebration in Duluth and is organized by Finland 100–Northland, a group of area Finns and Finnish-Americans. For information see their Facebook page .
