Six finalists have been chosen for the Hermantown school district superintendent position.
The candidate will replace Brad Johnson, who has taken the Hibbing school district superintendent position. Finalists include: Kimberly Belcastro, superintendent of Wrenshall schools; Kerry Juntunen, principal of Hermantown Middle School; John Muenich, principal of Hermantown High School; Alexis Leitgeb, superintendent of Ely schools; Beth Schwarz, superintendent of the Cook County school district; and James Wagner, superintendent of Kimball (Minn.) area schools.
The group was picked from a pool of 15 applicants. Public interviews of the candidates will begin at 1 p.m. June 13 in the district boardroom, 4307 Ugstad Road.
