The Itasca County Sheriff's Office is asking for the public's help in solving an armed robbery at the Calumet Spur convenience store Wednesday night.
According to Itasca County Sheriff Pat Medure, the suspect entered the store around 8:30 p.m. with a knife and demanded that the clerk take the money out of the cash drawer and place it in a backpack. The suspect had the clerk lie down on the floor and count to 100 before moving. During that time the suspect fled the store on foot with an undetermined amount of money. The clerk was not harmed.
The suspect is described as a white male with blond hair, 5 feet 8 inches tall and about 150 to 170 pounds. He appeared to be between 25 and 30 years old. The suspect had his mouth and nose area covered.
