Authorities have released the name of the Maple resident killed Friday in a car-semitrailer collision in Solon Springs.
Shirley A. Paulus, 69, was killed when her passenger car was struck by a semi while she was crossing U.S. Highway 53. Paulus was eastbound on County Highway A. She was pronounced dead at the scene.
The sheriff's department is investigating the accident, which happened about 10:30 a.m. Friday.
