Nicole Shaver and Matthew Braun, both of Duluth, plan to be married July 7 in Newport (Minn.) Lutheran Church.
Her parents are Peter and Cindy Shaver of Cottage Grove, Minn. His parents are Gary and Peg Braun and Lyn Braun, all of Superior.
The future bride, a 2000 graduate of Park High School in Cottage Grove, graduated from the College of St. Scholastica in 2005 with a bachelor's degree in nursing. She is a registered nurse at St. Mary's Medical Center in Duluth.
The future groom, a 2002 graduate of Superior Senior High School, is pursuing a degree in nursing at Lake Superior College in Duluth. He is a nursing assistant at Chris Jensen Nursing Home and Rehabilitation Center in Duluth.
