The National Weather Service has issued a severe thunderstorm watch for most of the Northland until midnight.
Large hail, damaging winds, torrential rainfall and a few tornadoes are possible with storms that are firing this evening across north-central Minnesota, and which will track eastward across the region.
The watch covers all of Northeastern Minnesota, as well as Douglas County in Northwestern Wisconsin. It includes Duluth, Superior, Cloquet, the Iron Range, Grand Rapids, International Falls and the North Shore.
