The National Weather Service has issued a severe thunderstorm warning for northeastern Cass and west-central Itasca counties until 8:45 p.m.
At 7:44 p.m., radar indicated a severe storm capable of producing quarter-size hail. The storm was located about 15 miles northeast of Bemidji, moving east at 40 mph.
The storm will be near Squaw Lake by 8:15 p.m., Max by 8:20 p.m. and Bowstring by 8:40 p.m. It also will affect Lake Winnibigoshish.
