The Northland may see several rounds of snow in the week ahead.
The National Weather Service in Duluth reported Saturday that widespread light snow is expected in the region Sunday night through Monday morning, with accumulations of about an inch - except along the North Shore, where lake-enhanced snow totals of 2 to 4 inches are possible.
A stronger storm system is forecast to affect the Northland on Tuesday and Wednesday, with the potential for heavy snow in parts of the region. After subzero lows Sunday morning, high temperatures are forecast to reach the 20s in Duluth on Sunday, and possibly into the 30s on Monday and Tuesday.
