Two bridges along Seven Bridges Road will be reconstructed beginning Monday, June 25, resulting in the closure of a portion of the road for the balance of the summer.

Northland Constructors of Duluth will remove bridges "1" and "8", replacing them with new bridges in the same location. Bridge "1" is the southernmost bridge on the road, crossing Amity Creek on Occidental Boulevard. Bridge "8" is on Skyline Parkway just south of the Maxwell Road intersection.

As a result, Seven Bridges Road will be closed to traffic below Bridge "1" on Seven Bridges Road and above Bridge "8" on Skyline Parkway. Seven Bridges Road will remain open between these two bridges; however, Maxwell Road will provide the only access into and out of the Seven Bridges Road area for this construction season and the road will not be a throughway. Seven Bridges Road is expected to re-open to traffic in mid-November, 2007. All work on the bridges will be complete by July 2008.
