A Kentucky man suffered minor injuries Tuesday night when the semi he was driving rolled over at the bottom of Piedmont Avenue in Duluth.

The Minnesota State Patrol reported that Jason Spenneberg, 32, was traveling down Piedmont Avenue (U.S. Highway 53) just before 10 p.m. when - unfamiliar with the curving highway - he lost control of the semi and it rolled, sliding on its side to a rest near the 21st Avenue West overpass.

Spenneberg was transported to Essentia Health-St. Mary's Medical Center with what the Patrol said were minor injuries.

The truck, a 2003 Freightliner, was totaled, the Patrol reported. Road conditions were dry at the time.
