A second man involved in the November armed robbery of Kosta's Gyros in Superior is going to prison.
Curtis Buddy Robertson, 29, of Duluth pleaded guilty Monday in Douglas County Circuit Court to party to armed robbery. A charge of party to false imprisonment was dismissed.
Robertson was sentenced to 7½ years in prison and 7½ years of extended supervision. He was ordered to pay $847.99 for his share of restitution and court costs and have no contact with the victim - the store clerk he robbed at gunpoint along with Daniel John Homsey of Superior.
Homsey, 28, pleaded guilty April 17 in Douglas County Circuit Court to party to armed robbery. He was sentenced to five years in prison and five years of extended supervision.
According to the complaint, Homsey and Robertson walked into the restaurant wearing heavy, dark-colored winter coats with hoods up and bandanas over their faces. One suspect pointed a semi-automatic pistol at the employee who was working as the other suspect tried to open the cash register by pushing buttons.

The employee opened the register for them, and the two men took the cash from the drawer as well as the employee's cell phone.
Superior police collected digital pictures of the vehicle used in the robbery from a nearby surveillance camera and released them to the public. A tip-line informant pointed police in the direction of Homsey.
Homsey admitted to investigators that he took part in the robbery to get money for drugs.
