Scouting for Food drive returns this weekend

The Boy Scouts and volunteers will be stationed at local grocery stores from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday for the annual “Scouting for Food” drive.
The event, hosted by CHUM and the Voyageurs Area Boy Scout Council, helps feed the hungry. The scouts will be passing out lists of items the food shelf needs most. The items can be purchased in the stores and then left with the scouts at the exit.
Last year, more than 8,000 pounds of food were donated.
