No ruling was made at the first hearing between the Duluth school district and Let Duluth Vote this morning.
Sixth District Judge Eric Hylden said he would take the arguments presented by both sides in the lawsuit brought against the district by the anti-red plan group under advisement.
"I've got plenty of issues for me to work through here," Hylden said.
Most of the hearing was devoted to the central claim of the plaintiffs in the suit, whether or not the contract between the district and consulting firm Johnson Controls should be deemed void by the court. Johnson Controls is the firm that developed the red plan for the district and is now in charge of implementing it.
