The Duluth School Board approved a number of items related to the long-range facilities plan at a meeting tonight.
In a 6-to-1 vote, the School Board approved bids to start work related to asbestos abatement and demolition at Ordean Middle School to make way for the new eastern high school and also approved a bid to start home demolition around Lester Park Elementary School. Only member Gary Glass voted against the bids.
The same board members approved the latest updates to design plans for the new Lester Park Elementary School.
