Sawyer County woman killed on highway after surviving rollover

A woman from Sawyer County died early Friday when she was struck by a car on Interstate 94 in central Minnesota only moments after surviving a rollover crash.

A woman from Sawyer County died early Friday when she was struck by a car on Interstate 94 in central Minnesota only moments after surviving a rollover crash.

According to the Minnesota State Patrol,

Page Humphrey, 22, of Ojibwa was one of two people in a car that rolled over on eastbound I-94 near Monticello about 2:45 a.m.

Humphrey and the other person, 20-year-old Ray Sowell of Monticello, survived that crash and were standing outside their vehicle in the left lane of traffic when they were struck by a 2006 Honda Civic driven by 47-year-old Marla Rolsing of South Haven, Minn.

Humphrey was killed, and Sowell was taken to a hospital with multiple broken bones, the State Patrol reported. Rolsing was not injured.
