Save-A-Lot, a new a limited-variety, super-discount grocery store, will open for business at 8 a.m. Wednesday in the Spirit Valley Mall.
It will be the third Minnesota outlet in the 1,150-store chain, which is a subsidiary of grocery giant Supervalu. The company claims to offer savings of up to 40 percent when compared with conventional grocery stores.
The store, at 215 N. Central Ave., occupies part of the space used by the Postal Encoding Center. It is operated by Cousins Market of Duluth.
According to a news release, the store will be open from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. seven days a week.
