It's going to the a fantastic start to the weekend. Sunshine will grace the skies as high pressure settles over the central Great Lakes. A renegade shower may try to push east across Minnesota this afternoon, but any rain that does form will likely fall apart as it approaches the eastern half of the state. High pressure will eventually yield to a storm system developing in the northern Rockies, but that won't occur until Monday. Expect increasing clouds for the latter part of the weekend, then increasing humidity could spark a few showers and thunderstorms for the start of the week.
