Saginaw deaths believed to be homicide-suicide

Preliminary investigations found that both people sustained gunshot wounds.

St. Louis County's Sheriff's Office is now investigating the deaths of two people in Grand Lake Township as a homicide and suicide.

Authorities identified the two people as Loretta Jean Billman, 62, and Robert Eugene Kerr, 55, in a release from the sheriff's office. The incident remains under investigation.

The Midwest Medical Examiner's Office is performing autopsies. Preliminary investigations found that both people sustained gunshot wounds. The sheriff's office has not said which of the two people is believed to have committed the killing.

The two were found dead Monday around 8:34 a.m. at a residence on Ellison Road in Saginaw. After neither showed up for work, relatives and co-workers of the man and woman went to check on them.
