All students, teachers and staff members of the former Sacred Heart School are invited to a reunion on Saturday, July 21. The reunion will take place at the Damiano Center, 206 W. Fourth Street, which housed the Sacred Heart School until it closed in 1970.
Light refreshments will be provided during fellowship 2 to 4 p.m., and a tour of the building is scheduled. Afterward, participants are invited to attend the regularly scheduled 4:30 p.m. Mass at St. Mary Star of the Sea church, located at Fourth Avenue East and East Third Street.
The gathering is an opportunity for those who have memories or news of classmates to share their information, and bring it to the attention of those who are attempting to record some of the history of Sacred Heart School for possible future publication.
