Krysten Saatela of St. Paul and Joseph Foster of Iron plan to be married in October in Mountain Iron.
Her parents are Duane Saatela of Mountain Iron and Colleen Lind of Virginia. His parents are William Foster of Sparta, Minn., and Lora Marks of Iron.
The future bride, a graduate of Mountain Iron-Buhl High School in Mountain Iron, earned an associate degree in engineering from Itasca Community College in Grand Rapids and is pursuing a bachelor's degree in civil engineering from the University of Minnesota-Twin Cities. She has accepted a position as a graduate engineer at the Minnesota Department of Transportation in Mankato.
The future groom, a graduate of Cherry High School, graduated from the University of Minnesota Duluth with a bachelor's degree in history. He is a high school social studies teacher for Cotton and Cherry schools.
