A familiar face is returning to Twin Ports television.
Long-time television personality Amy Rutledge will co-anchor KQDS-TV Channel 21's new newscast, scheduled to begin March 12.
Nick LaFave, who has experience at television stations in Montana and Michigan, will be Rutledge's co-anchor.
KQDS-TV news director Julie Moravchik said having Rutledge as anchor is a dream come true.
"She comes with instant creditability, and I've always respected her as a journalist," Moravchik said. "It's an incredible thing to bring her back. I couldn't be more thrilled."

Rutledge worked at a television station in Kalamazoo, Mich., from September 1995 to October 1997, when she began at Duluth's KDLH-TV Channel 3. She worked there until March 2005, first as an anchor and as a reporter, then as an anchor and an assignment editor.
Rutledge was among more than 30 people who lost their jobs when KDLH-TV was sold to Malara Broadcast Group on March 8, 2005.
"I have a couple of irons in the fire, and I'm very optimistic," Rutledge said days after the sale. "I know it's a cliché, but when one door closes, another usually opens. Still, I'm very sad I probably won't be working in TV anymore. I've really enjoyed it."
Since May 2005 Rutledge has worked as an account manager at WestmorelandFlint.
LaFave has worked at television stations in Missoula, Mont., and Bozeman, Mont. He most recently worked as a weekend anchor and weekday reporter at stations in Lansing, Mich.
KQDS-TV, a Fox Broadcast Company affiliate, will debut its half-hour 9 p.m. newscast on March 12. The show will include news, sports and weather on Mondays through Fridays.
