Rubber Chicken Theater is forming an all-ages improvisational comedy troupe and will be holding auditions for performers at 7 p.m. Sept. 14 at the Proctor Area Community Center, located at 100 Pionk Drive in Proctor.

Previous improvisational theater experience is preferred, but not necessary. The troupe will be performing throughout the fall and winter at Lost Isle Bar in Carlton. There are also plans in place to have Rubber Chicken Improv make its way down to the Twin Cities in November to take on Dudley Riggs in a special one-night-only performance.

Rubber Chicken Improv is being directed by Sharon Dixon Obst. Sharon graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Superior and has been working steadily in theater since she took her first acting class 32 years ago. She has been a writer, performer, producer, director, acting/vocal coach and teacher in the Twin Ports for the past 16 years. Sharon has also been a guest lecturer at the College of St. Scholastica on improvisational theater.
