There is quite a variety of weather in the forecast for the Northland this week.
The National Weather Service predicts temperatures in Duluth will rise to slightly above freezing today, with a chance for rain and freezing rain.
Then a strong cold front will move across the region, and any precipitation is expected to change to snow tonight as temperatures fall into the lower teens on gusty west winds.
Snow and cold temperatures are forecast to continue on Tuesday, with 1 to 4 inches of snow possible across the Northland. Tuesday's high temperature in Duluth is forecast to be 12 degrees, with a low of -13 on Tuesday night; colder weather is forecast for the Iron Range. Strong northwest winds will create low wind chills.
Wednesday's forecast high in Duluth is 5 above.
