A robbery and a shooting in Duluth's Central Hillside kept police busy Monday night.
Reports of multiple shots fired on the 300 block of East Eighth Street came in around 9 p.m. A portion of the block was cordoned off and police were interviewing witnesses, but would not comment on the incident Monday night.
Ben Damman lives on the block and said he heard five or six shots fired, but didn't see anything because he was in the back of his house. He said it was the first time in the two years he lived there that he heard gunfire in the area.
Earlier in the day, Duluth police said two men robbed another at knifepoint in an apartment at 119 E. Fourth St.
Police are searching for two men in their 20s, who allegedly took cash from the victim and fled in a white Grand Am. Police said the robbery was not random.
