A 35-year-old Richfield, Minn., man died from injuries suffered when his snowmobile hit a dock on Lake Vermilion near Cook early today.
The St. Louis County Sheriff's Department said the accident happened just after 2 a.m. The man was taken by ambulance to Cook Community Hospital where he was pronounced dead. His name has not yet been released.
The accident is under investigation but preliminary information indicated that alcohol was a contributing factor, the Sheriff's Department said.
