Rescue Squad searching for possible bridge suicide

The St. Louis County Sheriff's Volunteer Rescue Squad was searching the area around the Bong Bridge after getting a report that someone jumped off the bridge early this morning, though no one has yet been found.

The St. Louis County Sheriff's Volunteer Rescue Squad was searching the area around the Bong Bridge after getting a report that someone jumped off the bridge early this morning, though no one has yet been found.

Tom Crossman, captain of the Rescue Squad, said a report was made that someone jumped off the bridge about 1:50 Friday morning. Rescuers searched the water for about three hours before leaving to start again at 7 a.m.

"They're still looking," Crossman said.
