A report of a possible burglary in progress drew a police response to the Cascade Park area of Duluth's Hillside at about noon Sunday.

According to Duluth police, the owner of an unoccupied property near First Avenue West and Cascade Street reported finding a broken window and signs that someone might be inside the building, and called police. The possibility that a burglary might still be in progress prompted a significant police response.

However, the person inside the building was not burglarizing it, but instead was a homeless man who told officers he had spent the night in the building.

The man was taken into custody on possible charges of trespassing.
