More than 152 players will compete in the first major local tournament of the amateur season today and Sunday at Enger Park Golf Course. Here's a quick look at the tournament.

The favorites

A short list of possible Reidar Lund winners cannot start without Reed Kolquist. The 45-year-old from Hermantown won his record-setting ninth Reidar Lund last June after a one-hole playoff with Troy McNulty.

Don McKay, who won the 2007 Nemadji Invitational, and Scott Anderson, who won the 2007 Cloquet Invitational, are the other headlining players in the 45-hole contest.

Hermantown junior-to-be Andrew Oakes, who finished second at the Minnesota Class AA high school meet, also will compete.
