Sophomore guard Kirsten Haukom scored 14 of her game-high 23 points in the first half as St. Scholastica built a 41-25 halftime lead en route to a 77-53 Upper Midwest Athletic Conference victory over Martin Luther College before 92 spectators at Burns Wellness Commons.
The Saints (5-10, 2-4 UMAC) shot a blistering 62.1 percent in the first half and 54.5 for the game, including 7-for-10 from 3-point range, and never trailed. Freshman guard Jessica Nichols added a career-high 19 points in just 20 minutes.
Katherine Kogler scored 19 points to lead Martin Luther (2-14, 1-5), which was held to 33.3 percent shooting.
