The Giants (14-1 overall, 5-1 Arrowhead Conference) led 37-20 at halftime and cruised to their 14th consecutive victory. Jake Whiting had 19 points and 12 rebounds, while Justin Kangas had 18 rebounds for Mesabi East.

DeAngelo Brackins, who leads the Northland with a 26.5-point-per-game average, missed the game for the Broncos (15-1, 4-1).

Hermantown, Marshallwin LSC Meet

Max Tusa of Hermantown skied two runs in 1 minute and 30.28 seconds to win the boys individual title at the Lake Superior Conference meet Thursday at Spirit Mountain. The Hermantown boys team edged Duluth Marshall 99-98 for the team title.

Kendra Waller of Cloquet-Esko-Carlton finished in 1:32.43 to win the LSC girls crown.

Duluth Marshall won the girls team title with 107 points.
