A recount this morning of votes between three-term Superior City Councilor Kevin Norbie and challenger Warren Bender left the result of Tuesday's election unchanged: Bender, chairman of the Douglas County Democratic Party, won the election for the nonpartisan seat.
Warren got 180 votes to Norbie's 172. Norbie sought the recount because the results were so close.
After observing the ballots fed into a voting machine, Norbie said he was satisfied the voters' choice was made.
