A Chisholm man died in Oklahoma City, Okla., Sunday as the result of an industrial accident.

Richard "Rick" Cappo, 47, received second- and third-degree burns in a Sept. 21 accident at Oxbow Calcining in Kremlin, Okla. Two other workers were also burned.

The three men worked for George P. Reintjes Co., of Kansas City, Mo. The company installs fire brick in industrial fur-naces. Oxbow hired Reintjes to work on one of the company's furnaces.

"He was a very nice person," Cappo's brother, Ronald Cappo of Chisholm, said Tuesday. "Everyone liked him, everyone got along with him. It's tough. We didn't expect this to happen."

Richard Cappo still lived in the Chisholm area, Ronald Cappo said.

"He traveled all the time, he traveled all over the place," Ronald Cappo said of his brother.

The accident is still under investigations, according to Occupational Safety and Health Administration spokeswoman Elizabeth Todd.
