Radio network expands to Brainerd area

The Duluth-based KQ radio network is expanding to the Brainerd/Baxter area starting in early October, Red Rock Radio announced Tuesday.
KQ96 will be heard on WWWI-FM 95.9 starting Oct. 6 and will include the station’s signature classic rock format in addition to the KQ Morning Show with Jason Manning and Scott Savage, and KQ Afternoon Trainwreck with Kevin Key and Tom Roubik.
The KQ network also includes flagship KQDS-FM 94.9 in the Twin Ports, KBAJ-FM 105.5 in Grand Rapids, WXXZ-FM 95.3 in Grand Marais and KAOD-FM 106.7 in Babbitt/Ely.
