Thanksgiving may be more than two weeks away, but it's never too early to start eating pumpkin pie.
To use up excess canned pumpkin from the Churches United in Ministry Food Shelf, volunteers will bake nearly a hundred pies to raise money for CHUM.
The pies will be sold for $7 each from 4 to 6 p.m. today at First United Methodist Church, 230 E. Skyline Parkway, or until they run out.
All proceeds will be donated directly to CHUM. Organizers said last year's event raised more than $400 for CHUM.
