The St. Louis County Board will hold two public meetings on its 2021 proposed tax levy and operating budget.
The first public comment meeting will be held at 7 p.m. Monday, Nov. 23, in the St. Louis County Courthouse in Virginia and the second will be held at 7 p.m. Monday, Nov. 30, on the second floor of the St. Louis County Government Center in Duluth.
In September, the County Board approved a 1.48% tax levy increase for 2021 . A 4% growth in county's property tax base will offset that increase for most individual property owners.
The County Board is expected to vote on the finalized levy and budget Dec. 15.
Residents can attend the meetings in person if they wear masks and self-check for symptoms, according to a news release from St. Louis County.
