Minnesota Lt. Gov. Yvonne Prettner Solon will talk about the "stakes for women in the 2012 election'' in an afternoon news conference today and then speak at the Duluth kickoff of "Women for Obama'' and start the "Women Wednesdays" program in northern Minnesota.
According to the Obama campaign release, Wednesday's events in Duluth will bring together campaign officials, community leaders and women from around Minnesota to discuss what's at stake for women this election year.
The media event is set for 3 p.m. at the Obama campaign office.
The Women for Obama Summit kickoff of Duluth's Women Wednesdays is set for 6-8 p.m. at Clyde Iron Works, 2920 W. Michigan St., with the program starting at 6:30 p.m.
